22-year-old Amateur Bodybuilder Zyzz, Muscular Internet Sex Symbol, Dies in Bangkok

When people think of young bodybuilders, they usually picture nearly invincible muscle men with perfect health. So it was a shock to many when 22-year-old Australian bodybuilder Aziz Sergeyevich Shavershian, best known to his fans as Zyzz, died due to heart failure on August 5. The amateur bodybuilder and Internet star suffered a heart attack in a sauna while traveling in Bangkok, Thailand.

Zyzz had attracted a devoted following around the world via Internet, thanks to his frequent postings of photos of his ripped physique on Facebook and Youtube. He used his fame as something of a sex god to sell training videos and nutritional supplements, and also worked as a personal trainer and part-time stripper. His older brother, Said Sergeyevich Shavershian — known as Chestbrah — was arrested recently and charged with steroid possession.
